Canonical schema identifiers live under https://visualspec.dev/schema/1.0/. Pin versioned 1.0 URLs in builds. /schema/latest/ is a discovery copy of 1.0 and may move.

Validate locally. After cloning the repository: npm run validate -- <file>. Schemas resolve from the packaged files; validators must not fetch references at runtime.
