Tooltip
A short descriptive overlay that clarifies a control without requiring commitment.
Informative mappings only. Platform examples below describe possible target primitives. This release does not ship adapters for React, Swift, Android or any other platform.

Keyboard
- Focusing the anchor may show the tooltip
- Escape dismisses a visible tooltip
Accessibility
Tooltips must not be the only path to essential information. Prefer accessible names on icon-only controls; use tooltips as supplemental descriptions. Pointer-only tooltips are insufficient for keyboard users.
Motion
Delay and fade are typical; under reduced motion, appear without fade delay beyond accessibility timing needs.
